The phase of being able to try out the horses that will be auctioned at the X ESI Sport Horse Auction has begun – and the first customers have already arrived in Klein Roscharden to personally inspect the 30 sport horses that are up for sale at this anniversary ESI Auction. Once again, the horses being offered range from outstanding talents for big time sport to reliable horses for amateurs all the way to show jumpers that can be immediately sent to advanced courses. "This year, as a special service for our customers, we have continuously videoed the progress the horses have made in training and put these videos on the Internet", explained the ESI organizer, Henrik Klatte. "This gives customers a much better picture of the horses that are for sale."
The collection at the anniversary ESI Auction, which will be knocked down on Saturday, October 8th in Klein Roscharden, will begin with Lucon Boy, an outstanding four-year old by Luxius who has already won ribbons in novice (A) and elementary (L) level tests for young show jumpers and also has two high performance relatives: the Grand Prix winner, Casall La Silla under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson/SWE and the EC bronze medal winner Carlo with Nick Skelton/GBR. An exceptional four-year old mare named Monticella has the double EC gold winning Montendro in her pedigree on the sire's side. Carlson , a six-year old Concrete son, has distinguished himself by having qualified for the Bundeschampionat. Quick Gold M, by the show jumping World Champion Quicksilber, comes from the performance line of the World Cup winner, Sandro Boy.
This time, the auction in Klein Roscharden will begin with a select collection of foals instead of riding horses. "Until now, foals and riding horses were sold at two separate auctions each year. But many of our numerous foreign customers expressed the wish that we would sell riding horses and foals together in the same auction – and so we have complied with these wishes", explained Otto Vaske, Klatte's partner. Just the pedigrees alone of the 50 youngsters give good reason for great expectations. Among the sires with offspring in the auction are Coupe de Couer who recently took fifth place individually in the show jumping EC in Madrid and the team silver winning Mylord Carthago*HM, Chacco-Blue who took third place in the Grand Prix of Aachen and Armitage, the German Show Jumping Champion in the class for juniors as well as Hickstead, Olympic Game winner and winner of the Grand Prix of Calgary/CAN and, of course, the trademark stallions Argentinus and Landadel, just to name a few. The foal collection of the X ESI Auction will be concluded by Quit, a full brother of Quaid, show jumping Bundeschampion and Celle State Stud sire.
On Saturday, October 8th, the day of the X ESI Sport Horse and Foal Auction, there will be a special presentation of the auction horses at 11:00 a.m. and the auction foals will be paraded at 1:30 p.m. The auction will begin at 4:00 p.m. under the direction of the auctioneer, Hendrik Schulze Rückamp.
