Whoever studies the pedigrees of international show jumpers always finds the name of one sire again and again: Grannus. Even years after his death, the shiny black main sire that stood at Zuchthof Klatte is still a guarantee for the highest performance potential. Examples: the double Olympic Game winner For Pleasure, the double World Champion San Patrignano Weihaiwej, Marcus Ehning's World Cup winner Sandro Boy and Ludger Beerbaum's top jumper Couleur Rubin.
Henrik Klatte and Otto Vaske have been able to recruit a number of Grannus offspring for the current collection of the VI. ESI Foal Auction that will be held on August 27th in Klein Roscharden. For example, the Corlensky G son Corgran is out of a Grannus dam and goes back to the line of Ludger Beerbaum's highly successful Figaro’s Boy. Also from a highly successful line is Climax (Clinton-Grannus). Impacto, bred over Incolor-Grannus, can point to the same famous mare line that Sandro Boy has. Closely related to the European Champion Priamus Z/Vincent Voorn/NED is Stakkatino (by Stakkato-Grannus). Can be Cool, a bay colt by Cornet’s Prinz times Grannus, comes from a line that has already produced many show jumpers and to NRW auction candidates.
These are just five examples that clearly show how performance-oriented the sixth foal auction collection is. All in all, 56 foals with the ESI Elite stamp will be knocked-down by Hendrik Schulze Rückamp's hammer..
