Official Training Begins on March 18th

The day will have arrived on March 16th. That is the day the 27 candidates at this year's VIII. ESI Sport Horse Auction will move into their stalls in Klein Roscharden. Official training with the possibility to try the horses out starts on March 18th daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It's already a given that there will be exciting duels between bidders at the auction on Friday, March 26th. "Ever since the catalogue and videos were put on the Internet, our phone never stands still. Obviously there is very great interest in our truly hand-picked lot of jumpers", said Henrik Klatte, the ESI organizer.   He and his partner, Otto Vaske, have bet on quality instead of quantity. "As far as ability, willingness to perform and genetic disposition is concerned, these preferably five to seven year old horses that will be auctioned at the eighth ESI Sport Horse Auction leave nothing to be desired", explained Otto Vaske.
Some come with first and other placings in tests for young show jumpers such as the six-year old bay Stakkato-Pilot son called Stakka Bo (Cat. No. 9).  Central Park (Cat. No. 8), a seven-year old bay gelding by Carpaccio-Lorentin I, has even placed in medium (M*) classes. Cortador (Cat. No. 18), a licensed gray stallion by Corrado I-Acord II, participated at the Bundeschampionat. But a seven-year old Armitage-Ramiro daughter named All I Need (Cat. No. 21) and a six-year old Cassini II-Zeus son  named Chartbreaker (Cat. No. 12) will also definitely be highly coveted.  A highly refined Acord II-Grannus daughter named Alicante (Cat. No. 16) out of a dam line by the Olympic show jumping winner,  Priamos, comes with a show registration book that is already chock full of entries.  Catalogue number 25, CK One (by Coupe de Coeur-Zeus), was sold as a foal at an ESI Foal Auction and has now returned to the Klein Roscharden auction ring as a very promising candidate for the course. His dam line is also the origin of the Vice European Champion, Landzeu/Guiseppe D’Onofrio/ITA.
In order to be able to give interested buyers a better look at how the horses are developing, a special presentation day will be held for the first time on Sunday, March 21st at 2:00 p.m.  in Klein Roscharden.
Catalogues, DVDs, tickets and table reservations can be made through ESI Sportpferde GmbH, Rossegarden 5, 49688 Lastrup, Germany, Tel.: +49 (0)4472-940787 or at www.esiauction.com
