To jump over a bar stool is probably not anything every horse would like to do. But for Klatte's star stallion, Cornet’s Prinz, it wasn't any problem. At Zuchthof Klatte's stallion show, this Oldenburg main premium winner in the lot of jumper stallions and his rider, Otto Vaske, made an enormous leap over this unusual fence - and won a bet of free beer for the approximately 2,000 spectators in the sold out indoor in Klein Roscharden.
But the presentations of Zuchthof Klatte's dressage stallions was also captivating, especially Farewell III who took third in the Burg Pokal and the Grand Prix ribbon collector, Dr. Doolittle, which were both ridden by Markus Gribbe. The new comer, Uptown, who was presented in hand was spontaneously applauded for his opulent movements. Rock Forever demonstrated his excellent rideability under Oliver Oelrich.
The jumper team at Zuchthof Klatte, inclding Armitage, Agro Star and Collado, made a lasting impression because of their pronounced talent for jumping. Because of an injury, Chamberland, who did an outstanding job at his 30-day test, had to be shown in hand.
The stallions of Klatte's partner station, Gestüt Famos, were also nicely set in scene, particularly the trade mark stallion, Contendro I, who demonstrated his enormous ability over the highest jumps under Daniel Heuer. Gestüt Famos' three new kids on the block, the young stallions Laith, Coeur de Cento and Van Helsing, were all impressive in free jumping. The two evergreens, Landstreicher and Concetto Famos were shown in hand. Concetto Famos just recently presented the champion jumper stallion at the Southern German licensing in Munich-Riem.
The foal sold at the foal auction for the benefit of the victims in Haiti, brought 11,000 Euros. After an exciting duel, auctioneer Uwe Heckmann knocked down this just two-week old, very typical Cornet’s Prinz filly to the owner of Gestüt Famos, Klaus Ostendorf.
