Just before the big Stallion Show on Friday, February 19th at 7:00 p.m. in Klein Roscharden Zuchthof Klatte has added a spectacular new stallion. As of immediately, the KWPN stallion, Uptown, is available to breeders. This nine year old bay, who has an exceedingly valuable outcross pedigree through Kennedy-Ubis-Joost, won the 2004 KWPN licensing in s’Hertogenbosch and again underlined his exceptional quality by then winning his stallion performance test. In 2005 victory in the Pavo Cup in the class for four-year old dressage horses was added (comparable with the German Bundeschampionat) and first place in the Stallion Championships in elementary (L) level. In 2006 Uptown won the Future Stallion title under Hans Peter Minderhoud in Zwolle, took silver in the Pavo Cup and fifth place in Verden at the WC in the class for five-year old dressage horses. In the following year he finished second in the Stallion Championships in medium (M) level and has meanwhile been trained up to advanced level. Uptown's offspring are now starting to look very promising in sport. His first two sons have also been licensed: Bojengel (dam by Gribaldi) and Calm Pleasure (dam by Jazz).
